MRS FOLAKE OYEWOLE

Mrs Folake Oyewole is currently the Director who Heads the Quality Assurance
Department of the Office of Education Quality Assurance. Her Educational Career started with her primary education at the University of Lagos Staff School Akoka. In 1976 she proceeded to Lagos Anglican Girls’ Grammar
School, Surulere for her secondary education. In 1982 she gained admission to
Queens College Lagos for her A Levels, had a short stay of 3 months before being admitted to the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1982 where she graduated with a B.Ed in English and Literary studies in 1986.

At the completion of her education she observed her National Youth Service at
Mainland High School, Fadeyi, Lagos. She was thereafter employed as a classroom teacher at Immaculate Heart Comprehensive High School, Maryland in 1988, and has served as such at State High School, Oko-Oba in 1995 and Tomia Community Secondary School 2001. She served as a Monitoring and Inspection Officer from 2003 to 2005 atAlimosho, Agege Zonal offices and the District Headquarter Office.
Having been trained since 2009 as a Reader and Mentor in Quality Assurance
Evaluation, her services were requested for by the Ministry of Education Inspectorate Department to serve as the Director Whole School Evaluation Unit in July 2012.
At the onset of the Office of Education Quality Assurance in 2015, she served as a Director Whole School Evaluation Unit (Public), the Director Head of Reports Unit and is presently the Director, Head of the Quality Assurance Department from 2017 to date.
Among the several courses attended are Managerial creativity and innovation
effectiveness, ensuring effective implementation of whole school evaluation for
quality assurance, effective leadership through emotional intelligence and several courses on quality assurance evaluation and report writing.

Paper presentation include; Overviews of 2010 and 2015 State of Education Report, Global Overview of Whole School Evaluation, Assessing your Schools for Excellent Performance, several External and in-house trainings on evaluations amongst others.

For her diligence she was awarded a certificate of appreciation by ESSPIN/UKAID. She is happily married with Children.
