LAGOS ENJOINS SCHOOLS TO BE SAFETY CONSCIOUS

The Director General, Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Ministry of Education, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni has enjoined all School Owners, School Administrators and the entire school community to be vigilant of activities around their environment while imploring schools below tertiary level to ensure compliance with the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy of the State as prescribed.

In furtherance with the State Government’s Emergency Guidance for Public and Private Schools, the Director General urges schools to be proactive by preparing to address various safety and child protection issues that may arise from time to time as safety of learners, staff and the school community is of paramount importance always.

It would be recalled that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi earlier in a statement issued on the enforcement of motorcycle ban in six LGAs in the State effective from 1st of June 2022, assured Lagosians that all necessary human, material and operational resources have been deployed across the State to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
